Protect NEPA! 🚨
The federal government is proposing to rescind CEQ’s National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) regulations, a move that could weaken environmental protections, limit public input, and undermine our right to tribal consultation.
NEPA ensures that our communities have a say when federal projects affect our land, our sacred sites, our endangered species, water, and health. Without strong, standardized regulations, agencies could leave out public involvement and rush through decisions that harm our environment and people.
We cannot let this rollback go unchallenged! Submit a public comment and tell the administration that we need stronger, not weaker protections for our lands, water, and communities.
Comment now to defend NEPA (Deadline 3-27-25):

Twin Buttes Community,
Another share from Lisa Finley-DeVille
North Dakota 69th Legislative Assembly
I have recently submitted a letter outlining key programs that are essential to the well-being of the Mandan, Hidatsa, and Arikara Nation (MHA Nation, also known as the Three Affiliated Tribes) and other Native American communities across the United States. This letter has been addressed to U.S. Senator Hoeven, U.S. Senator Cramer, U.S. Representative Fedorchak, and U.S. Secretary of the Interior Burgum. Unfortunately, Secretary Burgum has not responded, and his contact information is currently unreachable.
On Thursday, March 6th, 2025, the ND Indian Affairs Commission met with ND tribal nations at Sage Coulee. I was not made aware that this meeting would include Governor Armstrong, nor was I informed that the two other Native representatives planned to attend. I only learned of their participation by Friday afternoon, which I could have asked the questions that need to be addressed. Despite this lack of communication, I had already written to Governor Armstrong on January 30th and February 14th of 2025, expressing my concerns regarding federal programs for the MHA Nation and other tribal nations.
I have attached my letter to U.S. legislators for your review.
