Twin Buttes Community - Due to the upcoming holiday, TAT Solid Waste will NOT be picking up garbage on Wednesday July 5th. They will instead be picking up the bins in Twin Buttes on Friday July 7th.

HOUSING SERVICES PROGRAM - FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The Housing Services Program is pleased to announce that is has been awarded funding in the amount of $473,420 from the American Rescue Plan Housing Improvement Program. This funding will be utilized to assist enrolled members of the MHA Nation to make improvements to their homes that were waylaid during the pandemic due to financial, contractor or supply constraints. Such improvements could include structural, electrical, plumbing, handicap accessibility, etc.
Any enrolled member residing within the exterior boundaries of the Fort Berthold Reservation that owns a home is eligible for this assistance with a maximum cap of $47,342 per applicant. “It is the intent of the Housing Services Program to provide at least 10 homes, if not more, with this funding” said Florence Brady, Housing Services Acting Director. The Housing Services Program will work with each applicant to prepare their individual Scope of Work/Improvements, identify a contractor to complete the work, inspect all work to insure it meets applicable building codes and pay for the contracted services.
It is imperative that anyone interested apply as soon as the application window opens on Monday, June 12, 2023. Housing Services will be accepting applications through end of business day on June 30, 2023. This is a first-come, first-served opportunity so timing is critical. Applications can be picked up at the Housing Services Program office or can be emailed/mailed to you.
