Dennis Dahlen honored
Dennis Dahlen was honored at the Cowboys Basketball game for his service as a Military Veteran. He was a member of the 1967 Halliday basketball team that qualified for the state tourney and took 4th place. Dennis later graduated from Halliday High School in 1968. He was then drafted into the army during the Vietnam War in the summer of 1970 where he was first stationed in Fort Lewis, Washington for basic training. He was sent to Germany after basic training, where he was stationed for two years until the end of the Vietnam War. He served as a Specialist in the 716 artillery unit until he was honorably discharged when the war ended. 
A FUN FACT: Dennis Dahlen had his brush with fame was while serving in the military when he served with Michael Richards- the famous actor who became known as Cosmo Kramer from the show Seinfeld.
He is married to Roberta Dahlen and they reside on the family cattle ranch in Werner, North Dakota where they both have raised cattle and kids since his return from military service. He is a proud grandpa of Taiven Murray, Jekori and Nekori Dahlen- members of this Cowboys basketball team.
